Weeks ending 26/4/06
for a change... let's start from today.... and see how many days, far into the past, I can remember...
26/04 - well, went back to EDB for the JP MOrgan run... haha.. felt like I had an identity crisis since KPMG also sent quite a number of ppl. then had dance rehearsal... by the end of the night... I was really quite tired... not sure why am still up typing this blog...
25/04 - watched Westside Story musical... must say a very "so-so" Aussie production, definitely didn't think it was worth the 117 bucks i paid. but met Arati's 2 Jap friends who are private bankers with ING, Satomi and Michiko. since we were all singles and the other ladies were older, we had a very extensive conversation, post musical, about what we are looking for in a relationship. was very encouraged by their openness to listen to me speak about God and how He transformed my perspective for marriage / love.
24/04 - monday lunch with MLPG (Monday Lunch Prayer Group) this is the 3rd time (3rd week in KPMG) that I am joining this marketplace prayer group. essentially, meet up for lunch and there will either be a short bible study or sharing of prayer requests after. they actually also meet on MOnday morns at 7.30 to pray but, hehehe, I usually only leaving house then.
at night, dance rehearsals as usual... but actually came in a little earlier to have a quick chat with my choreographer. essentially to apologize for giving him "lian se" last Thursday after rehearsal. He replied, "ni zhi dao ah?" summary = couldn't make for Tues (25/04) rehearsal coz bought tics for musical a while back but he wanted me to then coordinate with the other dancers to reschedule the rehearsal. I was frustrated coz I didn't want others to be inconvenienced coz of me. but anyhow, it was good... God was good... we basically switched the rehearsal to Wednesday...
23/04 - Grace, friend from Cambodia, was in town from 16/04 - 24/04. so some of the Cambodia team ppl (our project was named Hearts @ work... quite cool rite?) met her for dinner at Chomp Chomp. quite a spread and we even bought her durian afterwards...
22/04 - got a haircut at Shunji Matsuo with Chi-E, a Jap lady. went to her for my previous cut too... she's 10 bucks more ex than my usual hairstylist... instructions was "cut as short as you think my face can carry off the cut". am in the phase of trying different hairstylists coz got kind of bored with my previous one, been with him for almost 3+ years. then proceeded to help a youth with her research paper in church... not that my England very the good lar!!! =)
this is a great thanksgiving... was led to not prepare for BS that evening but to have a sharing session. attendance for my youth group has not been very consistent for the past weeks and boy, was God faithful. 5 gals turned up, plus one guy, but all the usual guys didn't. we just shared what's up with our lives and particular prayer requests. the presence of God was really quite strong when we started to pray for one another, and I know that GOd really touched each and every single one of them that night... how did I know? besides the obvious tears of joy / comfort / love that were flowing freely, there was certainly the confirmation in the Spirit... isn't God amazingly faithful?!!
alright, this is really getting quite long... till later...
