Stuff
Typing with a sore left arm... took 3 jabs @ Tan Tock Seng Hospital's Traveller's Clinic (cool huh?)... 1 for Hepatitis A, 1 for Typhoid and 1 for Tetanus... the last one is the one that's causing the soreness... ouchies. definitely didn't pay almost $100 bucks to get jabs for fun... Going on a voluntary trip to Cambodia in March for a week. Building cement floor, repainting the dormatories and teaching kids English @ an orphanage. it's not a missions trip, but am still expecting to see God work miracles.
went Chinatown to do CNY shopping w/ parents last night... but trip got cut short coz of rain. that's kind of a bummer but am very glad of time spent w/ parents... mom couldn't resist the question... "so girl, are you seeing anyone?"... which of course leads to... " don't be so 'tiao'" =) Just realized that when I speak w/ parents, the old self keeps popping up; approaching them w/ familiarity meant that I tend to butt in, less patience and tolerance. Holy Spirit, got work to do here... !!
"The Lord God has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary" Isaiah 50:4
--- when I saw this verse, I couldn't take my eyes of it, it spoke to something deep within me. perhaps the best summary of what my purpose is, of my spiritual DNA. perhaps that's why I come alive when I see a need and I can't seem to shut up... eager to speak a word to refresh, restore, redeem. sometimes... too eager.
May the word of the Lord for you in this season take root and bear fruit... let Him... it's worth every while.
