NO REGRETS
"No one who puts his hand to the plow, and looks back, is fit for the service in the kingdom of God" (Luke 9:62)
This is the Word for the season. To give my all to Jesus. It's onward marching, it's no looking back... it's No Regrets. Truth is, there isn't any grand resolutions for the new year. The refinement will continue, but there'll be promise of greater joy in the walk with the Lord.
Have been very blessed by my daily devotions from Oswald Chambers' "My Utmost for His Highest". To share some insights.
-- Let the past sleep, but let it sleep in the bosom of Christ. Leave the Irreparable Past in His hands, and step out into the Irresistable Future with Him.
"The God of Israel will be your rereward" (Isaiah 52:12)
-- To be my utmost for His Highest is a question of will, not of debate nor of reasoning, but a surrender of will, an absolute and irrevocable surrender.
"My eager desire and hope being that I may never feel ashamed, but that now as ever I may do honour to Christ in my own person by fearless courage" (Philippians 1:20)
-- In Christian work, you do not know what you are going to do; the only thing you know is that God knows what He is doing.
"He went out, not knowing whither he went" (Hebrews 11:8)
The Lord has been most gracious for me to divinely meet up with old friends and being able to minister to one another. Church ministry will up in tempo in 06. Will most likely see a change in my work environment. Despite all the changes that r upcoming, only one thing is needful, that is to sit at the feet of Jesus and enjoy His presence, to enjoy His fellowship, to receive His abundant love.
I pray that the new year will be an exciting encounter with God for you too...

Good meditations!
I bought Oswald Chamber's book from a second-hand-bookshop 2 years ago, titled 'Biblical Ethics'. It's super cheap and super 'chim'. I didn't finish it, cos can't grasp what he was trying to convey. But i gotta know that 'My utmost for His Highest' is one of the best devotional book produced last century.
hmm... i was also contemplating of many 2005 'regrettable' events in those pre-new year nights. Feel kinda melancholic when there were things that we should have done, but didn't do; and things that shouldn't be done but were done.
=)
My new year prayer for you:
May grace and mercy of the Trinity rest upon you, in your resolutions and eternal future. Godspeed fellow pilgrim.
=)

wow, i loved that!! i can read this para over and over and over again and still love it. indeed, to sit at His feet is to choose to do the Good thing!!!
Amen sista! I pray that this year u will experience Him like never ever before, that this year your walk with Him will be the best yet!!
Amen bro and sis. indeed, the road of the pilgrim is not easy, but it certainly is rewarding. i actually spent a good part of yesterday hanging out at the airport... it has a nice buzz for u to just be one amongst the crowd and think abt stuff. will be there more often as I found a nice quiet spot...
Onwards, my fellow mates!
Thanks for these entries, Naomi. I was lost and I am found. I'm moving onto my road of recovery.
